Our Manifesto

Our mission is, as it has always been, to provide the highest service and the best value for your winter sports holiday from well located properties. We do this by providing packages specifically tailored to every group and standards of service and catering that you could expect from companies operating far above our pricing levels. From the initial enquiry through to the last day of your holiday our experience means that we will have the answer for you. Empowering the independent holiday maker is our goal.

The high mountains are a wonderful, heartbreakingly beautiful place that can rejuvenate, inspire and challenge an individual in so many ways. The views alone can stir emotions that lie dormant during the everyday routine. The winter and summer sports offer personal challenges and immense satisfaction of achievement. Someone learning to turn left on skis for the first time is the same as someone mastering a 360 spin in the park or dropping a cliff for the first time. Personal achievement at whatever level and realisation of a new skill is a fantastic feeling and should be celebrated. This is the essence of a mountain holiday. Achieving something new, relaxation, stimulation and the sheer stimulation and rejuvenation that derives from this awe inspiring mountain environment.

We feel privileged to be able live and work in these places and we never, ever tire of the views, fresh air and experiences that are on offer or the opportunity to push our boundaries and share this with our guests. We are here because these are our core beliefs. This is what we do and have always done from the start of our working lives. Helping our guests to experience this joy is our greatest reward.

Our team has over 17 seasons experience of Alpine operations in all areas of the industry from corporate and school group travel to tour operations and property management. We have seen it all, done most of it and learnt how to harness the very best aspects, which has left us ideally placed to help organise a fantastic holiday for your group.

Our People

Each member of our staff is chosen for their enthusiasm, experience, generous nature, abilities and friendly outlook. They come from diverse backgrounds and have a wealth of experience but most importantly, they all share a fascination of the mountain environment and very high standards of customer service. We are constantly complimented on our team by all our guests. They are good people whose company and guidance you will enjoy. They will be on hand to look after you to make sure you have the best time possible.

The Environment

Our holidays involve sports and relaxation in some amazing but fragile parts of the European Alps. We rely on the natural environment to provide the locations and opportunities for our favorite activities. Therefore, we do our up most to support environmental preservation schemes, encourage recycling, sustainable tourism and responsible practices. For example we only use airport transfer companies that offset their carbon production from burning diesel.

We are only a small company but it all helps to preserve what we believe to be an incredible place to live, work and holiday. Why not do your bit by clicking on the website of our transfer provider at www.skiidygonzales.com and use their flight emissions calculator to offset the carbon your flight to the Alps will produce. It does not cost much and it absolutely makes a difference.

Jobs

We employ chalet hosts, transfer drivers, internet café staff and admin / bookkeeping staff. There are a variety of positions available on either a full time or part time basis. All employees are rewarded with a competitive wage and most roles include full resort benefits (accommodations, lift pass, travel etc). We have a soulful attitude to the mountains and are passionate about our sports and mountain environment, however we set ourselves apart by working in a very professional manner, predicting and eliminating problems before they arise and offering the best customer service possible. We do not say “no” to our guests but strive to find the solution, whatever it takes.

We are a small company and are constantly complimented on our staff. This is because we employ intelligent, talented, responsible and fun individuals who love the mountains and thrive off helping people get the most out of their holidays. Our employees are our greatest asset and the face of our business, so we rely on our whole team to deliver great experiences for our guests.

Make no mistake. Working in ski resorts is very hard work. The hours are irregular, plans change at the drop of the hat and any number of external factors can affect the working day. If you are out for yourself, looking for a regular job, a free bed for the season, an easy way to be a ski bum or you think you can coast through a few months hanging out in the snow then you need not apply.

On the other hand, if you are motivated, organised, a self starter and enjoy life, love meeting people, have a generous nature and genuinely gain pleasure and satisfaction from helping others enjoy themselves, then we want to here from you. From our part as long term season workers we want to help you have a truly rewarding season and experience what has kept us in the Alps for so long.

If this sounds like it might be for you then please send your CV and photo to info@whiteriders.com including a covering letter telling us your story, what you’re about, what the mountains mean to you and what you can offer us and our guests.
